Abstract: This article aims to present the partial result of the research that aims to “know and understand the focus and needs of companies that develop activities in the area of Forestry Engineering, in the region of Cáceres - MT, to verify the mathematical contents that could contribute to the development of these companies, in order to prepare digital teaching material with mathematical activities applied to the needs, meeting the commercial and economic expectations of the region”. The research was divided into 3 stages, lasting a total of 3 years. The first stage, 2022/2023, was divided into three phases: first phase: bibliographical research and interviews with professors and forestry engineers were carried out; second phase: it was marked by the analysis of data collected in the previous phase. Then, activity proposals were prepared with the contents of first-degree, second-degree, exponential and logarithmic equations.; third phase: the questions that will make up the first chapter of the digital teaching material were selected. The research is in the second stage, 2023/2024, with the elaboration of more questions, involving other mathematical content.
