Abstract: The highly globalized society is marked by great diversity and numerous problems that involve all cultural, economic, political and environmental aspects. In view of this, society and the Environment as a whole cry out for changes in attitudes, as most of these problems are the result of a population that does not have aware citizens. In the midst of this, this article aims to understand the influence of the teaching of Geography, because without it we cannot develop the agreste region of Paraíba in a sustainable way, in this way, it becomes the general objective of this article to evaluate and create analyses of the main characteristics of the Agreste Paraíba and form Projects for the production of their own sustenance in their fullness. Therefore, the teaching of geography in the Agreste region of Paraíba faces several challenges, but it also has enormous potential for growth and innovation. With adequate and concrete investments, effective methodologies and community engagement, it is possible to transform geographic education in the region, preparing students to be conscious and active citizens in the world.
