Abstract: School Physical Geography, when dealing with many contents, has often adopted a teaching-learning method that distances itself from the reality of students. Geography, as both a science and a school subject, should possess a character of interpretation, analysis, and understanding of reality, enabling students to comprehend the space around them and their social and natural relationships. Therefore, this work, which adopted a methodological approach of a documentary and qualitative nature, will propose the importance of classes being a means for students to understand and discern the geography around them so that they can act critically in the space where they live. Thus, we argue in this production that the teaching of Physical Geography should not have a numerical and descriptive character but should adopt methods that allow students to apply theoretical concepts in their daily lives. Through this, it is understood that Geography will become pluralized, transforming into a school Geography that considers the local scale and how it can actively contribute to both the school space and the students' space.
