O DESINTERESSE DOS JOVENS NA AULAS DE SOCIOLOGIA, EXISTE UM CULPADO?
Este artigo pretende, inicialmente, discutir a qualidade na educação numa perspectiva mais ampla, traçando um panorama de como a educação não está conseguindo cumprir seu papel. Após essa visão geral, inicia-se uma discussão sobre as dificuldades da sociologia de ser incluída como disciplina obrigatória na matriz curricular do ensino básico. Pretende, ainda, destacar que a formação dos professores de sociologia sofreu os reflexos da resistência à inclusão da sociologia como disciplina obrigatória no ensino médio e, com isso, os professores passam a encontrar alguns obstáculos em suas atividades em sala de aula. A partir daí o artigo passa a demonstrar a importante trajetória da sociologia e, também, enumerar alguns dos obstáculos que os professores de sociologia ainda enfrentam em sala de aula.

Abstract:
This article intends, initially, to discuss the quality of education in a broader perspective, outlining an overview of how education is failing to fulfill its role. After this overview, a discussion about the difficulties of sociology to be included as a compulsory subject in the curricular matrix of primary education begins. It also intends to highlight that the education of sociology teachers suffered the reflexes of resistance to the inclusion of sociology as a compulsory discipline in high school and with this teachers start to find some obstacles in their activities in the classroom. From there the article goes on to demonstrate the important trajectory of sociology and also enumerate some of the obstacles that sociology teachers still face in the classroom.
