O DESERTO NAS SAGRADAS ESCRITURAS: UMA ABORDAGEM LITERAL-TEOLÓGICA
O termo deserto é muito recorrente nas Sagradas Escrituras, tanto no Antigo quanto no Novo Testamentos. Entretanto, seu sentido varia conforme o contexto narrado. O presente artigo pretende através de uma revisão bibliográfica, abordar as diversas dimensões do deserto nas Sagradas Escrituras, partindo da literal, de local árido e inabitado; passando pelo sentido de local propício e místico para o relacionamento com Deus; e por fim locus teológico, especificamente no Novo Testamento, no qual é feita uma leitura tipológica, no evangelho de Mateus, entre o livro do Êxodo e a preparação da vida pública de Jesus em suas três tentações.

Abstract:
The term desert is widely used in the Sacred Scripture, both in the Old and New Testaments. However, its meaning ranges in conformity with the narrative context. This paper aims, by the means of literature review, to approach the several dimensions of the word in the Sacred Scriptures, departing from the literal meaning, of an arid and inhabited location; going through a mystical and propitious relationship with Good meaning; and finally, theological locus, specifically on the New Testament, in which a typological reading is mad on the Mathew gospel, between the Exodus narrative and preparation of Jesus’ public life in their three temptations.
