O (DES) ENVOLVIMENTO TERRITORIAL: A LUTA DOS AGRICULTORES FAMILIARES DE SEROPÉDICA-RJ POR SUA INCLUSÃO NO PROGRAMA NACIONAL DE ALIMENTAÇÃO ESCOLAR
O objetivo da pesquisa é discutir
o processo de organização política dos
agricultores familiares de Seropédica/RJ. Eles
buscam, num esforço coletivo, pôr em prática o
direito de ofertar alimentos às escolas públicas
do município, conforme prevê o Programa
Nacional de Alimentação Escolar (PNAE);
uma importante ferramenta de promoção de
desenvolvimento do território rural no Brasil.
Trata-se de um estudo de caso com observação
participante. Os agricultores familiares, que
resistiram às derrotas políticas, mostraram-se
sujeitos políticos conscientes ao lutarem pelo
interesse coletivo. Cada conquista no jogo
político significa, no nosso entender, o resultado
da pressão exercida por estes atores locais.

Abstract:
The purpose of this research is to
discuss the process of political organization of
the family farmers of Seropédica-RJ. They seek,
in a collective effort, to put into practice the right
to offer food to public schools in the municipality,
as provided by the National School Feeding
Program (PNAE); an important tool to promote
the development of rural areas in Brazil. This
is a case study with participant observation.
Family farmers, who resisted political defeats,
have shown themselves to be conscious political
subjects as they strive for collective interest.
Each achievement in the political game means,
in our view, the result of the pressure exerted by
these local actors.
