Abstract: This article addresses the urgent need to care for teachers in light of the precariousness of the teaching profession in Brazil. Based on a qualitative approach and bibliographic review, it analyzes how the culture of silent resistance, the lack of effective public policies, institutional fragility, and technicist training processes have contributed to the physical and emotional deterioration of educators. It argues that caring for teachers should not be seen as an isolated or charitable act, but as an ethical, political, and structural commitment. The study reveals that the school, as a social institution, can and must play a central role in promoting teacher well-being through practices of listening, recognition, and appreciation. The importance of humanized continuing education is also highlighted as a tool for subjective strengthening and mental health support. The conclusion reinforces that caring for educators is essential for building a democratic, sustainable, and transformative education system. Recognizing teaching as a practice of affection, ethics, and resistance must guide public policies truly committed to the dignity of educators. This paper contributes to the debate on teacher health and suggests paths for building more humane, sensitive, and welcoming schools.
