O CUIDADO ALÉM DO REMÉDIO: REFLEXÕES DE EDUCAÇÃO EM SAÚDE NO CATETERISMO CARDÍACO
Este estudo objetivou descrever as vivências experimentadas junto aos pacientes submetidos ao cateterismo cardíaco, abordando temáticas relacionadas ao conhecimento sobre o procedimento e suas influências físicas e emocionais, buscando delinear atuações frente à realidade. O relato de experiência foi de cunho qualitativo e descritivo, utilizando como instrumento de coleta de dados o diário de campo, observação estruturada (pesquisador participante) e participação nas práticas clínicas/gerenciais. Percebeu-se que a maioria dos pacientes mostrava-se ansiosa, inquieta e temerosa ao porvir, e atrelado a isso havia o desconhecimento ou até um ínfimo conhecimento sobre exame em si e seus cuidados. Não havia uma rotina estabelecida de orientação sobre o exame, sendo a sala de espera o cenário escolhido à educação em saúde, associando orientações verbal, escrita e exposição de multimídia (vídeo elaborado durante estudo). O estudo permitiu uma reflexão dos serviços de saúde ao aprimoramento dos processos de trabalho e suas múltiplas possibilidades de educação em saúde, sendo a intervenção vídeo-orientadora possível de ser implementada à realidade do serviço, impactando diretamente o paciente com a atenuação de seus temores e anseios, promovendo autonomia e empoderamento em seu processo saúde –doença.

Abstract:
This study aimed to describe the experiences experienced by patients undergoing cardiac catheterization, addressing topics related to the knowledge about the procedure and its physical and emotional influences, seeking to delineate actions in relation to reality. The experience report was qualitative and descriptive, using the field diary, structured observation (participant researcher) and participation in clinical / managerial practices as a data collection instrument. It was noticed that the majority of the patients showed anxious, restless and fearful to the future, and tied to this there was the ignorance or even a very small knowledge about examination itself and its care. There was no established orientation routine on the exam, the waiting room being the chosen scenario for health education, associating verbal, written and multimedia exposure (video made during study). The study allowed a reflection of the health services to improve the work processes and their multiple possibilities of health education, being the video-tutorial intervention possible to be implemented to the reality of the service, directly impacting the patient with the attenuation of their fears and fostering autonomy and empowerment in their health-disease process. -
