O COTIDIANO DAS FAMÍLIAS NA VILA DE SANTA MARIA DO ICATU NO SÉCULO XVIII
Este trabalho visita a vila de Santa Maria do Icatu, no século XVIII, utilizando como fonte das pesquisas documentos avulsos, testamentos, inventários, registros paroquiais, dentre outros, a fim de compreender como era constituído o seu povo, a formação das famílias, os padrões morais e religiosos impostos pela Igreja Católica, fortemente presente desde o início da ocupação, as atividades econômicas que movimentavam aquela sociedade, além de outros aspectos que possibilitem reconstruir, pelo menos em parte, a vida social, econômica e religiosa da população que viveu naquela época, bem como as heranças cultural e material deixadas e que chegaram até aos seus atuais habitantes.

Abstract:
This work visits the village of Santa Maria do Icatu in the 18th century, using separate resources, wills, inventories, parish records, among others, in order to understand how its people were constituted, the formation of families, the patterns moral and religious imposed by the Catholic Church, strongly presente since the beginning of the occupation, the economic activities that moved that society, in addition to other aspects that allow us to reconstruct, at least in part, the entire social, economic and religious life of the population that lived at that time, as well as its cultural and material legacies left and that reached its currente inhabitants.
