Abstract: This article intends to address the poetics of the body in contemporary art through from the use of new technologies. For this purpose, we will use the theorists Charles S. Peirce (2000) and Umberto Eco (1987) regarding the reading of body signs in art and, later, by theorists Julio Plaza (2000) and Arlindo Machado (2007) in the interrelation of body signs with culture and society, as well as pointing through fortune criticism, a new possibility of reading these same signs in contemporary times. Through comparison between the visual artists Lygia Clark (1970) and Diana Domingues (2005), we will indicate paradigms of art that persist in contemporary times and we will discuss relationships antagonistic consequences resulting from these models, calling into question technological intervention as an instrument in artistic production, or even the implementation of such technologies in this production, questioning whether these technologies are present to the point of finally becoming the intercession between art and life.
