O CONHECIMENTO DO ENFERMEIRO SOBRE CURATIVOS ESPECIAIS EM LESÃO POR PRESSÃO
RESUMO: Pesquisa que teve comoobjetivo identificar se o conhecimento do enfermeiro mostra-se suficiente para o uso de medidas na prevenção da lesão por pressão, frente ao uso de coberturas especiais e sua indicação adequada. Método: Qualitativo, por meio de grupo focal com 6 enfermeiras (os) em um hospital municipal da região Sul do Brasil. Resultado: Ressaltado uma lacuna entre o conhecimento referente à formação dos profissionais no âmbito de feridas, principalmente no que se refere a utilização de coberturas especiais. Os profissionais que apresentavam maior conhecimento, eram as (os) que atuavam em unidade de terapia intensiva. Fato corroborado, frente ao perfil dos pacientes que estão internados nessa unidade e sua vulnerabilidade para a instalação de lesão por pressão. Conclusão: Evidenciado a necessidade da implantação da educação permanente em saúde de forma a promover aos profissionais reflexão sobre sua atuação, pelas constantes mudanças tecnológicas vivenciadas na área da saúde e a rotatividade de enfermeiros, onde muitos são recém-formados. Bem como sobre à importância do conhecimento de todos dos manuais de normas e rotinas dispostos nas instituições, no intuito de facilitar essa busca diária.

Abstract:
Objetivo: To identify whether the knowledge of nurses is sufficient for the use of measures to prevent pressure injuries, in view of the use of special coverings and their appropriate indication. Method: Qualitative, through a focus group with 6 nurses in a municipal hospital in the southern region of Brazil. Result: A gap was highlighted between the knowledge regarding the training of professionals in the field of wounds, especially with regard to the use of special coverings. The professionals with the greatest knowledge were those who worked in the intensive care unit. This fact is corroborated by the profile of the patients who are hospitalized in this unit and their vulnerability to the installation of pressure injuries. Conclusion: The need to implement permanent health education was highlighted in order to promote professionals reflection on their performance, due to the constant technological changes experienced in the health area and the turnover of nurses, where many are recent graduates. As well as the importance of knowing all of the rules and routines manuals available in the institutions, in order to facilitate this daily search.
