Abstract: This is a study aimed at assessing nurses' knowledge of the most frequent medication interactions in the Adult Intensive Care Unit at the Regional Hospital of Asa Norte. The methodology used will be a quantitative-qualitative approach, as proposed by John W. Creswell. Data collection was carried out through a questionnaire containing 40 objective questions and 40 subjective ones. The results and discussion reveal that, despite being the most important medication interactions to be aware of within an ICU, they received few or no markings. On the other hand, pairs of interactions with possible fatal bleeding risks were the most detailed options selected by the nurses. The final considerations emphasize that given the complexity of the multiple medication regimens to which ICU patients are subjected, the nurse's role is essential in diagnosing medication interactions and minimizing their negative impact in the ICU.
