O Clube Farroupilha e as “fake histories”: contribuições para um debate ainda incipiente.

O tema deste artigo é a relação da think tank Clube Farroupilha (CF), atuante em Santa Maria - RS, com a produção e disseminação da chamada fake history. Este trabalho tem como objetivo demonstrar como tem se dado esta relação desde a fundação do referido grupo, na esteira dos acontecimentos chamados como Jornadas de Junho de 2013, até sua atuação no referido município abrangendo paralelamente também a influência recebida pelos debates estadunidenses e brasileiros sobre temas como a própria fake history e a pós-verdade. Como principais resultados temos a questão de que o Clube Farroupilha aparentemente se consolidou como grupo atuante na política local, tanto com forte influência dos debates internacionais quanto também das práticas da extrema-direita estadunidense. Como conclusão deste trabalho tem-se que é necessário o aprofundamento do debate tanto sobre a atuação das think tanks vinculadas a projetos ultraliberais como também sobre a influência da fake history seja na sociedade como um todo, seja também para o conhecimento historiográfico. Por fim, se discute a importância do professor de história nesta realidade de descrédito da própria ciência histórica.

  • Abstract: The theme of this article is the relationship between the think tank Clube Farroupilha (CF), active in Santa Maria - RS, and the production and dissemination of so-called fake history. This work aims to demonstrate how this relationship has occurred since the founding of the aforementioned group, in the wake of the events called Jornadas de Junho de 2013, until its performance in the aforementioned municipality, also encompassing the influence received by American and Brazilian debates on topics such as fake history itself and post-truth. The main results include the fact that Clube Farroupilha has apparently consolidated itself as an active group in local politics, both with a strong influence from international debates and also from the practices of the American extreme right. As a conclusion of this work, it is necessary to deepen the debate both on the performance of think tanks linked to ultraliberal projects and also on the influence of fake history, whether on society as a whole, or also on historiographical knowledge. Finally, the importance of the history teacher in this reality of discrediting historical science itself is discussed.
