O CAMPO RELIGIOSO: A IGREJA CATÓLICA E OS ELEMENTOS CONSTITUTIVOS DA REPRESENTAÇÃO
O objetivo do presente artigo é compreender os elementos presentes no campo religioso, enfocando a Igreja Católica, a partir das discussões propostas por Bourdieu (bens simbólicos) e Goffman (representações), realizando uma análise sobre a formação do campo religioso e as representações que permeiam este campo. Deste modo o presente artigo tem como pressuposto a pesquisa qualitativa, realizamos um referencial bibliográfico referente as discussões dos autores: Bourdieu e Goffman e alguns artigos que estão diretamente relacionados a temática. Conclui-se, neste artigo, que o campo religioso onde se insere a Igreja Católica ainda mantém uma legitimidade. A representação, enquanto um mecanismo de atuação possibilita manter as relações de poder, naturalizando e reforçando estas relações.

Abstract:
The objective of this article is to understand the elements present in the religious field, focusing on the Catholic Church, from the discussions proposed by Bourdieu (symbolic goods) and Goffman (representations), carrying out an analysis on the formation of the religious field and the representations that permeate this field. In this way, this article is based on qualitative research, we still carry out a bibliographic reference referring to the authors' discussions: Bourdieu and Goffman and some articles that are directly related to the theme. It is concluded, in this article, that the religious field where the Catholic Church is inserted still maintains a legitimacy. Representation, as a mechanism of action, makes it possible to maintain power relations, naturalizing and reinforcing these relations.
