O CALÇADÃO DA GAMELEIRA EM RIO BRANCO, ACRE: UMA LEITURA CRÍTICA À LUZ DOS CONCEITOS DE CESARE BRANDI
Percebe-se no Brasil, ainda a forte presença das correntes do restauro estilístico do séc. XIX, muitas vezes legitimada pelos próprios órgãos de preservação de bens culturais. Além disso, ainda dentro desta tendência, desde os anos 1990, existe uma tendência a recuperação de áreas centrais degradadas e o anseio por conjuntos arquitetônicos formais homogêneos, e resgate de um significado cultural e turístico. Nesta tentativa, observa-se, ainda, um movimento que se prolifera na cidade contemporânea: a criação de falsos cenários históricos na paisagem urbana. A teoria de Cesare Brandi surge como um contraponto a esse tipo de intervenção na construção do chamado "falso histórico". Neste artigo serão abordados os principais conceitos da Teoria da Restauração de Brandi, com intuito de fazer sua aplicabilidade para uma leitura crítica da obra do Calçadão da Gameleira em Rio Branco, Acre.

Abstract:
It is percieved, in Brazil, that there is still a strong presence of experiences from the stylistic restoration of nineteenth century, often legitimized by the cultural heritage preservation institutes. In addition, even within this trend, since the 1990s, there has been another trend towards the recovery of degraded central areas and the yearning for homogeneous formal architectural ensemble, and the rescue of cultural and tourist significance. In this attempt, there is also a movement that proliferates in the contemporary city: the creation of fake historical scenarios in the urban landscape. Cesare Brandi's theory emerges as a counterpoint to this type of intervention in the construction of the so-called "historical false". In this article, the main concepts of Brandi's Restoration Theory will be addressed, with the aim of making it applicable for a critical interpretation of the Gameleira Boardwalk in Rio Branco, Acre.
