O BAIRRO A PARTIR DE UM PASSEIO DE ÔNIBUS: EXPERIÊNCIAS DE CRIANÇAS E SOBRE A INFÂNCIA NO ESPAÇO URBANO
Compreendendo a infância como um acontecimento pessoal, cultural e político, e a experiência do lugar como elemento constituidor dos processos de subjetivação e de organização coletiva (PRETTO, 2015), este trabalho pretendeu uma análise de experiências de crianças no espaço urbano, especificamente a partir de uma atividade intitulada “Circulando de ônibus com as crianças em trajetos de seu bairro”. Essa atividade envolveu sete meninas, com idades entre oito e nove anos, pertencentes a camadas populares e a famílias nativas do bairro. Conforme o bairro se descortinava através da janela do ônibus, as crianças demonstravam familiaridade em utilizar o transporte público com autonomia; confirmavam conhecer o contrato social que rege os espaços públicos conforme marcadores sociais como idade, camadas sociais, gênero; evidenciavam a noção de pertença ao bairro mediante o reconhecimento de espaços significativos e de itinerários particulares; mesmo que brevemente, revelaram que experimentavam também o anonimato no contexto do bairro em crescente urbanização; efetivaram avaliações acerca do funcionamento do transporte público, segundo elas gerador de inseguranças e desconfortos. Salienta-se que circular de ônibus com as crianças mostrou-se um recurso metodológico potente, além de divertido para elas, revelador da experiência de viver a cidade, da complexidade de aprendizagens e significados sociais atribuídos ao bairro, indicando características importantes de suas infâncias.

Abstract:
This paper aims to analyze the experiences of children in the urban space. More specifically we developed an activity titled "Riding the bus with children along your neighborhood." This activity helped us to understand childhood as a personal, cultural and political event, and the local experience as a constituent element of the subjectivation and collective organization processes. This activity was developed with seven girls, aged between eight and nine years old, belonging to the popular classes and native families of the neighborhood. As the development of travel we perceived that the children were familiar with autonomous public transportation; that they knew the social contract that governs public spaces according to social markers such as age, social strata, gender; also that they evidenced the notion of belonging to the neighborhood through the recognition of significant spaces and particular itineraries. Besides that, even briefly, they revealed the experience of anonymity in the context of urban accelerated growth of the neighborhood; they made too evaluations about the functioning of public transportation, which, according to them, is a generator of insecurities and discomforts. It is noteworthy that traveling by bus with the children proved to be an important methodological resource because, as well as fun for them, it was revealing the experience of living the city, the complexity of learning and social meanings attributed to the neighborhood, indicating important characteristics of their childhoods.
