O AMBIENTE, A ARTE, A HISTÓRIA: OS VITRAIS DA CATEDRAL DE BARCELONA E A RELAÇÃO HOMEM/NATUREZA NOS SÉCULOS XIV E XV
Tal como modificam suas relações
sociais, os homens ao longo do tempo
transformam suas perspectivas e interações
referentes ao meio natural. Desse modo,
propõe-se neste capítulo identificar o nexo
entre natureza e indivíduo na Barcelona dos
séculos XIV e XV – Reino de Aragão -, partindo,
para isso, da análise dos vitrais da Catedral de
Barcelona - construídos entre 1335 e 1495 -
enquanto elemento iconográfico, de cunho social
e religioso. Por meio de tal suporte artístico,
reconhecia-se e difundia-se o imaginário criativo
e as mentalidades, possibilitando-nos, hoje,
conhecer o ambiente medieval e compreender
as práticas e perspectivas que o envolviam.

Abstract:
As they modify their social
relations, human being over time transform their
perspectives and interactions regarding the
natural environment. In this way, this chapter
is proposed to identify the nexus of nature and
individual in Barcelona from the fourteenth and
fifteenth centuries - Kingdom of Aragon, starting
from the analysis of the stained glass windows
of the Cathedral of Barcelona - built between
1335 and 1495 - as an iconographic element,
social and religious. Through such artistic
support, creative imaginary and mentalities
were recognized and diffused, enabling us
today to know the medieval environment and to
understand the practices and perspectives that
enveloped it.
