Abstract: This article is the result of research on Aedes aegypti control processes in the municipality of Iporá-GO and region that have been carried out since 2016. Previously, an initial research was carried out through which some situations considered as “pending issues” by the National Dengue Control Program (PNCD), such as closed, abandoned properties or properties with access not allowed by the owner. At that time, data for the year 2016 were presented and discussed, but now the intention is to compare them with the most recent data, up to 2022, seeking to understand the changes in the epidemiological picture over the aforementioned period. In this sense, the general objective is to rethink public health policies in Brazil and, more specifically, to evaluate situations of "pending", analyze the control mechanisms of Aedes aegypti, vector of dengue, zika and chikungunya in the municipality of Iporá-GO and region and, if possible, help the municipality to organize its prevention and control activities, in periods of low transmission and in endemic situations. For that, two approaches were considered: the objective and the subjective.
