O ACESSO E A ASSISTÊNCIA A PESSOAS COM DEFICIÊNCIA VISUAL NA UFRN
Este artigo possui como objetivo analisar a condição de acesso e a assistência estudantil oferecida aos deficientes visuais na Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). Para isso, utilizamos como fundamentação de pesquisa o materialismo histórico dialético e como metodologia uma pesquisa básica e qualitativa de caráter exploratório, realizada através de entrevistas, visitas e levantamento bibliográfico. Esses meios possibilitam os seguintes resultados: conhecimento da estrutura legal que regulamenta o acesso e a assistência de deficientes as Instituições de Ensino Superior e conhecimento da estrutura assistencial oferecida pela UFRN.

Abstract:
This article aims to analyze the condition of access and student assistance offered to the visually impaired at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). For that, we use as research foundation dialectical historical materialism and as a methodology a basic and qualitative research of an exploratory nature, performed through interviews, visits and bibliographic survey. These means make possible the following results: knowledge of the legal structure that regulates the access and assistance of disabled people in Higher Education Institutions and knowledge of the assistance structure offered by UFRN.
