Abstract: Food is one of the main allies in the treatment of neoplasms, as following appropriate dietary guidelines and opting for better eating habits can encourage possible prevention of breast cancer. This is an experience report of the extension project developed by the UNIFSA Nutrition course called Open Chest Nutrition with the aim of carrying out food and nutritional education actions, individualized care and guidance and reception for women with breast cancer. The extension project allowed us to meet the participants in four meetings, in the first there was a meeting to get to know the group, then a lecture on cancer with healthy eating, in the other meetings, nutritional care and a gastronomic workshop were held. It is clear that research focused on this pathology will always be necessary, and that the greater the scope and experience of students in the health area, the better professionals linked to this area will exist.
