Notas sobre a literatura de Andy Warhol
Existe um relativo consenso sobre a
importância paradigmática de Andy Warhol na
forma de se produzir, pensar e consumir arte na
contemporaneidade, mas esse reconhecimento
raramente é estendido a sua escrita. Entretanto,
a literatura de Andy Warhol é tão rica e
indecifrável quanto seus quadros, fotografias e
filmes. Nela encontramos narrativas, diálogos
e reflexões sobre o amor, a arte, a fama, a
beleza, o tempo, o trabalho, a economia e o
nada. A proposta desse trabalho é refletir sobre
um de seus livros ensaísticos, The philosophy
of Andy Warhol (from A to B and Back Again)
(2013), buscando traçar relações com teóricos
que discutem sua obra visual e audiovisual.

Abstract:
There is a relative consensus
on Andy Warhol’s paradigmatic importance
in producing, thinking, and consuming
contemporary art, but this recognition is rarely
extended to his writing. However, Andy Warhol’s
literature is as rich and indecipherable as his
pictures, photographs and films. In it we find
narratives, dialogues and reflections on love,
art, fame, beauty, time, work, economy and
nothingness. The proposal of this work is to
reflect on one of his essay books, The philosophy
of Andy Warhol (from A to B and Back Again)
(2013), seeking to draw relations with theorists
who discuss his visual and audiovisual work.
