NOTAS INTRODUTÓRIAS SOBRE AS CIDADES NA LITERATURA SOCIOLÓGICA CLÁSSICA
O presente trabalho pretende explorar algumas das contribuições de Karl Marx (1818-1883), Friedrich Engels (1820-1895), Émile Durkheim (1858-1917), Max Weber (1864-1920) e George Simmel (1858-1918) para a compreensão das cidades, seus sujeitos e dinâmicas contemporâneas. Objeto transversal ou privilegiado nos escritos desses autores, temos por intenção destacar, através de uma análise bibliográfica, suas contribuições teóricas e metodológicas para a investigação sobre os contextos urbanos e as transformações que acompanham suas dinâmicas de formação e reprodução. Nesse percurso pretendemos analisar os caminhos teóricos e metodológicos que dão contornos as cidades e suas dinâmicas nas obras dos autores, colocando em destaque as transformações, sujeitos e problemas que emergem com o processo de formação e adensamento populacional das cidades contemporâneas. Desprendendo-se das dinâmicas do campo, o homem da cidade rompe com suas formas de vida anteriores a partir da fluidez e ritmo da vida urbana, forjando arranjos culturais, sociais, econômicos, políticos e trabalhistas que transformam as formas de viver e compreender os contextos citadinos.

Abstract:
The present work intends to explore some of the contributions of Karl Marx (1818-1883), Friedrich Engels (1820-1895), Émile Durkheim (1858-1917), Max Weber (1864-1920) and George Simmel (1858-1918) to the understanding of cities, their subjects and contemporary dynamics. A transversal or privileged object in the writings of these authors, we intend to highlight, through a bibliographic analysis, their theoretical and methodological contributions to the investigation of urban contexts and the transformations that accompany their dynamics of formation and reproduction. In this way, we intend to analyze the theoretical and methodological paths that shape the cities and their dynamics in the authors' works, highlighting the transformations, subjects and problems that emerge with the process of formation and population density of contemporary cities. Detaching himself from the dynamics of the countryside, the city man breaks with his previous ways of life from the fluidity and rhythm of urban life, forging cultural, social, economic, political and labor arrangements that transform the ways of living and understanding the city contexts.
