NOTAS HISTÓRICAS DO DISTRITO DE MARRECAS, NO CEARÁ: DOS ÍNDIOS JUCÁS AO CAFÉ DAS PRIMAS.
Este trabalho, fugindo da linearidade temporal, se propôs e reconstituir aspectos da história de Marrecas, distrito integrante da estrutura geopolítica do Município de Tauá, no estado do Ceará. Metodologicamente, o conceito de anotações ou notas históricas que utilizamos incorpora a perspectiva de recortes de fatos e dados históricos, inseridos em variadas temáticas e trazidos a lume por meio de levantamentos bibliográficos e documentais, além da utilização do recurso da oralidade. Em que pese ao fato de serem enfatizadas várias datas, com exatidão ou aproximação, não foi adotado com rigor um padrão de sequências cronológicas, embora estas sejam perceptíveis em algumas passagens do trabalho. As “notas” foram alicerçadas na interdisciplinaridade, no reconhecimento dos diversos sujeitos históricos e grupos étnicos e sociais (incluindo o período anterior à colonização portuguesa) e na valorização da história local. Quanto ao recorte de fatos e dados levantados pela pesquisa, destacam-se: a população nativa dos índios jucás e sua relação com os colonizadores; o início da colonização, por meio da concessão de sesmarias a colonos portugueses; a criação da circunscrição distrital; o patrimônio arqueopalentológico e religioso; a escravidão no perímetro de Marrecas; a passagem da Coluna Prestes; e o protagonismo feminino no contexto da criação e expansão da povoação de Café das Primas.

Abstract:
This work, fleeing temporal linearity, proposed and reconstructed aspects of the history of Marrecas, a district that is part of the geopolitical structure of the Municipality of Tauá, in the State of Ceará. Methodologically, the concept of notes or historical notes that we use incorporates the perspective of clippings of facts and historical data, inserted in various themes and brought to light through bibliographical and documentary surveys, in addition to the use of the orality resource. In spite of the fact that several dates were emphasized, with accuracy or approximation, a pattern of chronological sequences was not rigorously adopted, although these are noticeable in several passages of the work. The “notes” were based on interdisciplinarity, on the recognition of diverse historical subjects and ethnic and social groups (including the period before Portuguese colonization) and on the valorization of local history. As for the clipping of facts and data raised by the research, the following stand out: the native population of the Jucás Indians and their relationship with the colonizers; the beginning of colonization, by granting sesmarias to Portuguese colonists; the creation of the district district; the archaeopalentological and religious heritage; slavery on the Marrecas perimeter; the passage of the Prestes Column; and female protagonism in the context of the creation and expansion of the village of Café das Primas.
