  The reported experience resulted from the development of a research and extension project "Agroecological creation of poultry chicken: strengthening family agriculture and empowerment of women and young people in rural communities of Sergipe" (Call 02/2016, CNPq/MAPA) conducted by NEA/IFS – Cristóvão campus with the community of the Quilombola Santa Cruz Community, municipality Brejo Grande-SE. The activity aimed to hold an educational workshop aimed at the children of the community, focusing on environmental aspects. The tools applied helped to train ecological subjects, denoting principles of organization of the group (division of work).
