NOÇÕES GERAIS DA ATUAÇÃO DO FONOAUDIÓLOGO NO AMBIENTE HOSPITALAR: NEONATOLOGIA
Em 2021, por meio da Resolução nº 604 do Conselho Federal de Fonoaudiologia, a “Fonoaudiologia Hospitalar” foi reconhecida como especialidade. A atuação do profissional fonoaudiólogo neste ambiente teve início nos anos 90, mas foi principalmente nos anos de 2020/2021 que ocorreu um aumento expressivo no número de profissionais atuantes no âmbito hospitalar. Apesar de ter ocorrido um aumento no número de cursos e pesquisas na área, ainda há uma carência de publicações sobre esta temática, principalmente em relação ao atendimento do público infantil, em especial do recém-nascido e/ou lactente. Nesse ambiente o Fonoaudiólogo aplica seus conhecimentos técnicos e científicos em pacientes geralmente internados, de todas as faixas etárias e em diversos setores. Incluídos entre os grupos de pacientes atendidos estão os recém-nascidos e/ou lactentes, configurando uma atuação fonoaudiológica na Neonatologia. Suas principais ações na Neonatologia são a realização da Triagem Auditiva Neonatal Universal (TANU), com o objetivo de detectar precocemente perdas auditivas; o Teste do Frênulo Lingual, com o objetivo de detectar dificuldades que possam impactar principalmente na amamentação; a assistência à alimentação nas Unidades de Tratamento Intensivo (UTI), Unidades de Cuidados Intermediários (UCIN), promovendo uma alimentação segura e eficaz a recém-nascidos prematuros, pós-cirúrgicos, entre outros; Banco de Leite Humano (BLH), promovendo o aleitamento materno exclusivo; Atendimento Ambulatorial (Follow-Up) acompanhando o desenvolvimento auditivo, de linguagem e de alimentação; assistência às famílias dos recém-nascidos e/ou lactentes e promoção à saúde auditiva das equipes que atuam na UTI, com o objetivo de prevenir perdas auditivas induzidas pelo ruído. Ressalta-se ainda a importância da atuação multidisciplinar (fonoaudiólogo, fisioterapeuta, neonatologista, pediatra, terapeuta ocupacional, nutricionista, enfermeiro, entre outros) na busca da melhor assistência ao recém-nascido e/ou lactente para proporcionar as melhores condições para a alta hospitalar.

Abstract:
In 2021, through RESOLUTION Nº. 604 of the Federal Council of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, “Hospital Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology” was recognized as a specialty. The performance of the professional Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology therapist in this environment began in the 90s, but it was mainly in the years 2020/2021 that there was a significant increase in the number of professionals working in the hospital environment. Despite an increase in the number of courses and research in the area, there is still a lack of publications on this topic, mainly in relation to the care of children, especially newborns and/or infants. In this environment, the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology therapist applies his technical and scientific knowledge to patients who are usually hospitalized, of all age groups and in different sectors. Newborns and/or infants are included among the groups of patients seen, configuring a Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology therapy practice in Neonatology. Its main actions in Neonatology are: Universal Neonatal Hearing Screening (UNHS), with the aim of detecting hearing loss early; the Lingual Frenulum Test, with aims to detect difficulties that may have an impact mainly on breastfeeding; feeding assistance in the Intensive Care Units (ICU), Intermediate Care Units (NICU), promoting safe and effective feeding to premature and post-surgical newborns, among others; Human Milk Bank (BLH), promoting exclusive breastfeeding; Ambulatory Care (Follow-Up), monitoring auditory, language and feeding development; assistance to the families of newborns and/or infants and promotion of the hearing health of the teams that work in the ICU, with the purpose of preventing noise-induced hearing loss. It is also important to highlight the importance of multidisciplinary work (speech-language pathology and audiology therapist, physiotherapist, neonatologist, pediatrician, occupational therapist, nutritionist, nurse, among others) in the search for the best care for newborns and/or infants to provide the best conditions for hospital discharge
