Abstract: Parkinson's Disease (PD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder affecting millions globally. While pharmacological therapies remain the primary treatment line, neurosurgical interventions have emerged as promising alternatives for refractory cases. This article reviews neurosurgical advancements in PD treatment, addressing established techniques like Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) and emerging methods such as adaptive neuromodulation and MRI-guided focused ultrasound. We discuss the clinical implications, benefits, and challenges associated with these interventions and highlight the need for ongoing research in the field.
