O presente texto dialoga sobre justiça climática a partir da relação entre natureza e matrizes econômicas. Contextualiza a geopolítica do poder e a diferença colonial. Dimensiona o conceito de intensidade de participação para delimitar a qualidade da democracia e dos processos participativos deliberativos em políticas voltadas ao enfrentamento da crise climática. Conclui-se que, ao conectar a intensidade de participação com a diferença colonial, torna-se possível mensurar a qualidade democrática de políticas públicas que enfrentam a catástrofe ambiental no Norte e no Sul Global.

  • Abstract: This text engages with climate justice from the relationship between nature and economic matrices. It contextualizes the geopolitics of power and colonial difference. It conceptualizes the notion of intensity of participation in order to delimit the quality of democracy and deliberative participatory processes in policies aimed at addressing the climate crisis. It concludes that, by connecting the intensity of participation with colonial difference, it becomes possible to assess the democratic quality of public policies that confront environmental catastrophe in both the Global North and the Global South.
