Abstract: This chapter reflects on human formation from Michel Foucault's perspective, articulating the concept of self-care and its intersection with knowledge as discursive practices that constitute subjectivity. Based on a bibliographic analysis, it seeks to understand how Foucaultian thought allows us to rethink education and language as spaces of resistance, freedom, and self-construction. The text dialogues with authors such as Veiga-Neto, Gallo, and Carvalho, exploring the ethical and cultural dimension of self-care in the constitution of the modern subject. It argues that human formation, far from being a neutral process, constitutes a field of symbolic disputes and narratives that express relations of power and knowledge.
