Abstract: The (auto)biographical narratives with the theoretical basis of the autobiographical method used to compose an analysis with emphasis on the narratives of teachers' personal/professional life stories can reveal the constitution of several aspects of interest in an educational research. This article aimed to carry out a bibliographical survey and analyze the theoretical assumptions of the autobiographical narratives for the life story output of a Quilombola Chemistry teacher. A literature survey was carried out in the year 2022 about the period from 2016 to 2021, in the periodical CAPES and Google Scholar databases. The descriptors used were the following: “Autobiographies” OR “Autobiographical research” AND ''Narratives'' AND ''Quilombola'' AND ''Chemistry''. That being so, eight studies were selected, being included according to the eligibility criteria of studies in the Portuguese language, in the last five years. Exclusion criteria were review articles. We highlight that the theoretical assumptions about the narratives methodology and their use with an autobiographical mold related to the teachers’ professional trajectories have proved to be of great importance for the personal and professional training process in the context of Quilombola school education.
