Abstract: (Auto)biographical research has offered diverse and intriguing insights into teacher education. This research, derived from a final project, aimed to conduct a bibliographical survey of (auto)biographical narratives in Brazilian research on biology teacher education. Initially, the study involved a field trip, which was interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The theoretical framework was inspired by the field of (auto)biographical research. The methodology focused on papers found in the proceedings of the International Congress on (Auto)biographical Research (CIPA) and the National Meeting on Biology Teaching (ENEBIO). The survey results yielded a total of 19 papers and a methodological proposal for fieldwork. We conclude that the field of research addressing (auto)biographical narratives in biology teaching still needs to be expanded.
