Narcotráfico e encarceramento feminino em Santarém-Pará

O aliciamento de mulheres pelo tráfico de drogas é cada vez mais comum na região Amazônica, onde a rota do tráfico passa pelos rios amazônicos, até chegar nos grandes centros urbanos. Na cidade de Santarém, no Estado do Pará, a localização geográfica da referida cidade possibilita o escoamento de entorpecentes para outras regiões do país. Por este motivo é comum grandes operações policiais de combate ao narcotráfico na região. Neste contexto, as mulheres tornam-se peças principais no referido esquema ilícito, sendo que, devido condições financeiras ou até mesmo por substituição aos maridos que geralmente são presos pela polícia, se envolvem no crime e acabam por integrar a população carcerária do centro de detenção local, o CRF, na cidade de Santarém. Neste estudo intitulado “Narcotráfico e encarceramento feminino em Santarém-Pa”, se buscará analisar o crime de tráfico de drogas cometido por mulheres, as razões e motivos que decorreram na ilicitude destas, além de debater o aumento da população carcerária no Brasil por crimes relacionados diretamente ao tráfico de drogas. A metodologia utilizada nesta pesquisa consistiu em pesquisa documental e teórica, além de análise empírica. Também se fez uso de métodos quantitativos de pesquisa, a saber, a análise de gráficos numéricos e percentuais com questões relativas ao tema proposto.

  • Abstract: The recruitment of women by drug traffickers is increasingly common in the Amazon region, where the trafficking route passes through the Amazonian rivers, reaching large urban centers. In the city of Santarém, in the state of Pará, the geographical location of the city facilitates the flow of narcotics to other regions of the country. For this reason, large police operations to combat drug trafficking are common in the region. In this context, women become key players in this illicit scheme, and due to financial conditions or even as a substitute for their husbands, who are usually arrested by the police, they become involved in the crime and end up joining the prison population of the local detention center, the CRF, in the city of Santarém. This study, entitled "Drug Trafficking and Female Incarceration in Santarém-PA," will analyze the crime of drug trafficking committed by women, the reasons and motives that led to their illegality, and discuss the increase in the prison population in Brazil for crimes directly related to drug trafficking.  The methodology used in this research consisted of documentary and theoretical research, as well as empirical analysis. Quantitative research methods were also employed, namely, the analysis of numerical and percentage graphs with questions related to the proposed theme.
