NÃO EXISTE IDADE PARA O PRAZER: ATUAÇÃO DO ENFERMEIRO FRENTE A SEXUALIDADE NA TERCEIRA IDADE
O processo de envelhecimento é um
desenvolvimento natural em que o organismo é
submetido a modificações físicas e funcionais.
Esta fase é vista e percebida por muitos como
um período de “não sentir”, “do não querer”,
“do não desejo”. Na saúde do idoso, existe o
desafio de quebrar tabus e aborta a temática
da sexualidade como algo natural e inato.
Pois embora muitos considerem como nulo,
a sexualidade no idoso existe e precisa ser
trabalhada. Realizou-se uma revisão integrativa
da literatura. A busca foi realizada na base de
dado SciELO utilizando as expressões “Saúde
do idoso”, “sexualidade senil” e “terceira idade”.
Buscou-se por artigos brasileiras em português,
sem corte temporal. O silêncio diante dessa
temática faz-se perceber a necessidade de
educação em saúde sobre sexualidade na
terceira idade. O enfermeiro assumindo seu
papel de profissional educar e prestador de
cuidados holístico deve estar preparado para
atender o público da terceira idade e saber
conduzir esses pacientes a se abrirem sobre
essa temática, afim de trabalhar educação
sexual, esclarecer dúvidas e orientar acerca de
cuidados que podem melhorar a prática sexual
nesta fase da vida.

Abstract:
The aging process is a natural
development in which the organism is subjected
to physical and functional modifications. This
phase is seen and perceived by many as a
period of "not feeling," "not wanting," "not
wanting." In the health of the elderly, there is the
challenge of breaking taboos and aborting the
sexuality as something natural and innate. For
although many consider it null, sexuality in the
elderly exists and needs to be worked out. An
integrative literature review was carried out. The
search was performed on the SciELO database
using the expressions "Health of the elderly",
"senile sexuality" and "old age". We searched
for Brazilian articles in Portuguese, without
temporal cut. The silence regarding this theme makes it possible to understand the
need for health education about sexuality in the elderly. The nurse assuming her role of
professional educator and holistic care provider must be prepared to attend the elderly
public and know how to lead these patients to open up on this subject in order to work
sex education, clarify doubts and guide about care that can improve sexual practice at
this stage of life.
