NA FRONTEIRA ENTRE A FEMINILIDADE E A MASCULINIDADE: MULHERES E AS TENSÕES DOS PADRÕES DE GÊNERO NA FÍSICA
Para muitos/as, a participação
feminina na ciência é vista como algo consolidado
e resolvido. Porém, a presença de mulheres em
algumas áreas ainda sofre resistências, e sua
representação quantitativa permanece tímida.
Algo hegemônico no Brasil e fora dele, essa
situação ocorre na Física. Muitas pesquisas,
provenientes de várias áreas de conhecimento,
questionam a baixa representação feminina
na Física e buscam encontrar justificativas
para isso. Na UFSC, embora atualmente a
representação quantitativa das mulheres
na física tenha aumentado, os números
permanecem numa faixa de 20%, quando que
em outras áreas de conhecimento científico
a participação feminina é a que predomina.
Nesse trabalho, através de fontes quantitativas
e orais, será exposto a situação presencial
das mulheres na Física na UFSC, de 2000 a
2010, exibir e problematizar as falas dessas
personagens que acham-se arroladas nesse
curso. Será facilitado ao debate os desafios,
anseios e entraves que permeiam o cotidiano
das estudantes de física, e verificado sob quais
condições elas ocupam esse “outro” lugar.
Muitas vezes, precisam vestir um outro corpo, e
se roupar de modos de ser menos feminilizados,
para tornarem-se e sentirem-se parte do grupo,
que hegemonicamente é masculino.

Abstract:
For many people, the women’s
participation in Science seen as consolidated
and solved. However, the presence of women
in some areas still suffers resistance and their
representation remains limited. Something
hegemonic in Brazil and in other contries, this
situation happens in Physics. Many searches
developed in several áreas, question the
low representativeness of women in Physics
and have sought justifications for this. At the
Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC),
nowadays the quantitative representations of
women in Physics has increased, the data show
circa 20%, while in others areas of science the
women’s participation are predominant. This
paper analise a women’s representativeness in
Physics at UFSC from 2000 to 2010, by means
of quantitative and oral sources, know the speeches of women who participated in this
university course. The challenges, wishes and obstacles, taht permeate the daily life
of Physics women students will be presented to the debate, and verified under what
conditions they
Occupy this “other” place. Often they need top ut on another body, and clothe
themselves in ways of being less femized, to become and feel part of the group, which
is hegemonically male.
