MUNICIPALISMO E EDUCAÇÃO ENTRE AS DÉCADAS DE 40 E 50 D0 SÉCULO XX: A QUESTÃO DO ENSINO SECUNDÁRIO NA REGIÃO CACAUEIRA DA BAHIA
Este trabalho apresenta considerações sobre o movimento municipalista entre as décadas de 40 e 50 do século XX, para fundamentar um estudo sobre a relação do municipalismo e a educação e suas implicações no processo de criação de escolas de educação secundária na Região Cacaueira da Bahia, no período. Nesse sentido, foram realçados textos e publicações sobre o municipalismo no Brasil; o municipalismo e a educação; e sobre a criação de escolas de educação secundária; que foram destacados como essenciais para a análise e reflexão do tema, com o desenvolvimento do trabalho de pesquisa. Assim, considerou-se que o movimento municipalista teria contribuído para delinear uma nova política de gestão municipal que iria reverberar no campo educacional no Brasil e região durante o período.

Abstract:
This work presents considerations about the municipalist movement between the 40's and 50's of the 20th Century, to ground a study on the relationship between municipalism and education and its implications in the process of creating secondary schools in Bahia's Cocoa Region, in this period. In this sense, texts and publications were highlighted on municipalism in Brazil; municipalism and education; and on the creation of secondary schools; that were emphasized as essential for the theme's analysis and reflection, with the research work development. Thus, it was considered that the municipalist movement would have contributed to outline a new municipal management policy that would reverberate in the educational field in Brazil and the region during this period.
