Abstract: This article aims to analyze the importance of the multidisciplinary approach in the context of basic education, highlighting its impact on students’ cognitive, emotional, and social development. Multidisciplinarity is presented as an effective pedagogical strategy to promote meaningful learning, critical knowledge construction, and the holistic development of students. Based on an updated literature review, the research explores fundamental concepts, practical experiences, and the main challenges involved in implementing integrative pedagogical practices. The methodology is qualitative in nature, with a bibliographic approach and exploratory character. The results indicate that, despite institutional and cultural challenges, multidisciplinarity represents a necessary path toward an emancipatory education aligned with the demands of the 21st century.
