• Abstract:

  This paper purposes the utilization of multi-criteria decision analysis’ methods to dam's risk classification, to improve and complement management tools and help entrepreneurs, inspection institutes and professional experts. The developed methodology was applied in dams of watering projects of Formoso and Manuel Alves rivers on Tocantins State. It was used the multi-criterion analysis method ELECTRE-TRI, and it was considered the criteria of multiple risk analysis methodologies. Technical information was raised through in loco visits and the dams were classified in four risk levels: Extreme, Height, Moderate and Low. The results demonstrate the successful use of these methods in designing dam’s risks classification.
