MULHERES E AMBIÇÃO NA ESCRITA DE ELISABETH BADINTER
O século XVIII foi emblemático para
o ocidente, pois é a partir dele que se iniciam as
vivências projetadas pela modernidade, a qual
nasceu trazendo como elemento ontológico
central a ideia de liberdade, elemento que
ancora a sua projeção como parte estrutural da
fruição da cidadania; de modo a implicar em
novos sentidos de pertencimento ao mundo
social. Condição que trouxe a viabilidade de
reconhecimento das diferenças na multiplicidade
de possibilidades de atuação dos indivíduos em
sociedade. Entretanto, longe de se configurar
de modo linear, o modus operandi das relações
sociais trouxe uma tensão quanto ao lugar
da mulher relativamente ao poder e prestígio,
processo identificável através da escrita
historiográfica de Elisabeth Badinter no seu
livro Émilie, Émilie. Mas quais as perspectivas
e ambições possíveis, considerando-se que
a mulher, no imaginário social da sociedade
patriarcal, ocupa um lugar de subalternidade?
Ao abordar a trajetória biográfica de Madame
du Châtelet e de Madame d’Épinay, Elisabeth
Badinter demonstra a dinâmica social relativa
aos costumes e moralidade dentro dos equilíbrios
variáveis do espaço social, bem como a
ambição feminina como forma de contraposição
aos comportamentos institucionalizados. A
subversão de seus comportamentos permitiulhes
um reposicionamento do seu capital
simbólico, levado a termo na polifonia de
discursos e de percepções expressas na
racionalidade das práticas sociais, as quais
transformam o inconsciente individual e o
coletivo de forma simbiótica. Este trabalho
busca discutir as representações sociais sobre
o papel destinado à mulher no status quo do
ocidente via análise do cenário social no século
XIII.

Abstract:
The eighteenth century was
emblematic for the West, because it was from
this century that the experiences projected
by modernity began. It was born, bringing the
idea of freedom as central ontological element,
which anchors its projection as a structural
part of the fruition of the citizenship, in order to
imply in new senses of belonging to the social
world. This condition made the recognition of the differences viable about multiplicity of
possibilities in individuals’ action in society. However, far from being linear, the modus
operandi of social relations has brought a tension about to women’s place concerned
to power and prestige. This process is identifiable through the historiographical writing
of Elisabeth Badinter in her book Émilie, Émilie. But which prospects and ambitions
are possible, considering that the woman, in the social imaginary of patriarchal society,
occupies a place of subalternity? When Elisabeth Badinter addresses Madame du
Châtelet and Madame d’Épinay’s biographical trajectory, She demonstrates the social
dynamics of customs and morality within the changing equilibria of social space, as
well as female ambition as a form of contraposition to institutionalized behavior. The
subversion of their behaviors allowed them a repositioning of their symbolic capital,
brought to a conclusion in the polyphony of discourses and perceptions. These ones
are expressed in the rationality of social practices, which transform the individual
and collective unconscious symbiotically. This paper seeks to discuss the social
representations about the women’s role in the status quo of West through analysis of
the social scene in the thirteenth century.
