Abstract: Introduction: Large infrastructure and territorial reconfiguration projects have shown that their success depends not only on investment and connectivity, but also on social inclusion and gender equity in their development processes. International organizations highlight that women's active participation in the local economy increases productivity, strengthens community resilience, and contributes to more sustainable growth. Objective: To analyze and document the economic activities carried out by women and how their participation impacts territorial dynamics. Methodology: A quantitative approach based on the generation of databases was used, using primary information sources (from official institutions). A Geographic Information System tool was then used to process the databases and generate thematic maps that provide explicit explanations of the territory. Results: According to the analysis, a large area of land is observed where women could enjoy greater labor market integration, but with a large distance from their homes to the main urban centers, derived from increasing urban pressure. Conclusions: The role of women in the growing region of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec Interoceanic Corridor is essential because they constitute a local economic engine, sustaining productive, commercial, and service activities that drive the regional economy. Furthermore, their leadership preserves cultural identity and strengthens social cohesion in a region undergoing profound transformations.
