Abstract: Climate change has intensified the occurrence of extreme hydrometeorological events, posing new challenges to urban management and environmental sanitation systems. In this context, the present study aims to analyze the main climate risks projected for the municipality of Araraquara-SP and discuss technical strategies aimed at increasing urban resilience in the face of extreme events, focusing on water security, water loss management, and the water supply infrastructure operated by the Autonomous Department of Water and Sewage (DAAE). The methodology adopted is based on applied research of an exploratory and descriptive nature, grounded in the documentary analysis of the Water Master Plan, the Water Security Plan, and the Municipal Plan for Climate Adaptation and Resilience of the municipality of Araraquara. Data relating to the infrastructure of the supply system, operational risks, climate projections, and urban adaptation strategies were analyzed. The results indicate a trend of increasing average temperature, reduced annual precipitation, and greater irregularity in hydrological regimes, factors that can compromise water security and increase the operational vulnerability of supply systems. Structural vulnerabilities associated with aging infrastructure and the need to modernize operational systems were also identified. It is concluded that the integration between climate planning and sanitation management is a fundamental element for strengthening urban resilience, given the need to adopt structural and operational measures aimed at the efficiency of systems, reduction of water supply losses, demand management, strengthening the adoption of preventive strategies and monitoring technologies essential for the sustainability of water supply services.
