MOTIVAÇÃO DOS JOVENS ACADÊMICOS EM BUSCA DA SUCESSÃO FAMILIAR NO MEIO RURAL
O objetivo deste trabalho foi
identificar a motivação dos jovens acadêmicos
sobre o processo de sucessão familiar no meio
rural. O projeto foi realizado por meio de uma
pesquisa de natureza exploratória descritiva
com os alunos do Centro de Ciências Rurais da
Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Foram
aplicados 700 questionários na forma on-line
e presencial para os acadêmicos dos cursos
de Agronomia, Engenharia Florestal, Medicina
Veterinária, Tecnologia em Alimentos, Tecnólogo
em Agronegócios e Zootecnia. Os dados foram
submetidos a análise estatística descritiva
utilizando o software Microsoft Office Excel
2016®. Os alunos do sexo feminino foram mais
representativos na amostra, com a frequência
de 53%. Para a característica ascendência,
a variável descendência italiana foi a mais
observada, 43,9%. Sobre motivação dos alunos

a cursar um ensino superior, 78,3%, responderam que buscam crescimento pessoal
e educacional. No total, 81,8% dos alunos são filhos e netos de produtores rurais e
51,1% dos alunos responderam que a maior dificuldade de trabalhar no campo é o
acesso à tecnologia. Os acadêmicos do Centro de Ciências Rurais da Universidade
Federal de Santa Maria tiveram percepções e motivações positivas em relação ao
meio rural.

Abstract:
The objective of this work was to identify the motivation of young
academics about the process of family succession in rural areas. The project was
carried out through a descriptive exploratory research with the students of the Center
of Rural Sciences of the Federal University of Santa Maria. 700 questionnaires were
applied in online and face-to-face for the academics of the courses of Agronomy, Forest
Engineering, Veterinary Medicine, Technology in Food, Technologist in Agribusiness
and Zootechnics. Data were submitted to descriptive statistical analysis using Microsoft
Office Excel 2016® software. Female students were more representative in the sample,
with a frequency of 53%. For the characteristic ancestry, the Italian offspring variable
was the most observed, 43.9%. Regarding students' motivation to attend higher
education, 78.3% answered that they are looking for personal and educational growth.
In total, 81.8% of the students are children and grandchildren of rural producers and
51.1% of the students answered that the greatest difficulty in working in the field is
access to technology. The academics of the Center of Rural Sciences of the Federal
University of Santa Maria had positive perceptions and motivations regarding the rural
environment.
