Abstract: Spinal neurosurgery, despite its value in treating a variety of vertebral conditions, is associated with a range of postoperative complications. This article reviewed the literature on the most prevalent complications of spinal neurosurgeries, including neurological complications, infections, persistent pain, vascular complications, and spinal fusion failure. The review highlights the need for effective prevention and management strategies to minimize these risks. Furthermore, the need for additional research in this field is evident, with a focus on improving outcomes for patients undergoing spinal neurosurgery.
