MORFOMETRIA DOS OTÓLITOS SAGITTAE DO PEIXE PEDRA (Genyatremus luteus, PISCES: HAEMULIDAE) CAPTURADOS NO MUNICÍPIO DE RAPOSA - MA
O objetivo desse trabalho foi
analisar a dinâmica do crescimento do peixe
pedra (Genyatremus luteus) na costa do
município de Raposa – MA através do estudo
da morfometria dos otólitos sagittae. A espécie
foi obtida mensalmente através da pesca
comercial no município de Raposa, para
obtenção de dados morfométricos e retirada
dos otólitos em laboratório. Aplicou-se os
dados analisados em laboratório nas relações
propostas na metodologia: Wt x Lt; Lo x Lt; Wo
x Lo. Obteve-se como resultado da relação Wt x
Lt: alometria positiva (b > 3) para o peixe pedra,
com R2
1. A relação Lo x Lt, resultou em uma
alometria negativa (b < 3) para a população
estudada. Por fim, a relação entre Wo x Lo,
apresentou resultados para o coeficiente de
determinação, medianos para o peixe pedra R2
= 0,5340. Constatou-se também, elevado nível
de incerteza na utilização dos otólitos sagittae
para estudos de crescimento de G. luteus.

Abstract:
The objective of this work was
to analyze the growth dynamics of the stone
fish (Genyatremus luteus) on the coast of
the municipality of Raposa - MA through the
study of the morphometry of the sagittae
otoliths. The species was obtained monthly
through commercial fishing in the municipality
of Raposa, to obtain morphometric data and
withdraw the otoliths in the laboratory. The data
analyzed in the laboratory were applied in the
relations proposed in the methodology: Wt x Lt;
Lo x Lt; Wo x Lo. It was obtained as a result of
the relationship Wt x Lt: positive allometry (b>
3) for the stone fish, with R2 ≈ 1. The relation Lo
x Lt, resulted in a negative allometry (b <3) for
the studied population. Finally, the relationship
between Wo x Lo, presented results for the
coefficient of determination, medians for fish
stone R2 = 0.5340. It was also observed a high
level of uncertainty in the use of the sagittae
otoliths for growth studies of G. luteus.
