MORFOMETRIA DO COMPARTIMENTO TUBULAR EM TESTÍCULOS DE OVINOS SANTA INÊS E MESTIÇOS DE SANTA INÊS E DORPER
Objetivou-se avaliar a influência do cruzamento racial sobre a morfometria dos túbulos seminíferos em ovinos da raça Santa Inês e mestiços de Santa Inês e Dorper, utilizando-se quatro animais para cada grupo experimental. Os fragmentos testiculares foram fixados em solução de Bouin por 24h, submetidos ao processamento histológico e emblocados em parafina. Cortes histológicos de 4µm foram feitos e corados com Hematoxilina-Eosina. Avaliou-se a proporção volumétrica dos compartimentos testiculares, o diâmetro dos túbulos, altura do epitélio seminífero e frequências dos estágios do ciclo do epitélio seminífero e o rendimento da espermatogênese. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância para um delineamento inteiramente casualizado. As médias foram comparadas através do teste Student-Newman-Keuls a 5% de significância. Os valores do diâmetro tubular foram de 173,12 ± 29,09 e 185,71 ± 29,7 µm, e a altura de epitélio seminífero de 52,29 ± 9,98 e 56,68 ± 11,25 µm, para os animais mestiços e Santa Inês, respectivamente (P < 0,05). Não se verificou diferença entre os compartimentos testiculares. Conclui-se que houve pouca diferença na morfometria testicular dos animais estudados e constatou-se, através das análises, que o cruzamento racial não induz a alterações expressivas dos parâmetros entre os grupos estudados

Abstract:
The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of racial crossbreeding on the morphometry of seminiferous tubules in Santa Inês sheep and Santa Inês and Dorper crossbred sheep, using four animals for each experimental group. The testicular fragments were fixed in Bouin's solution for 24h, submitted to histological processing and embedded in paraffin. 4µm histological sections were made and stained with Hematoxylin-Eosin. The volumetric proportion of testicular compartments, tubule diameter, seminiferous epithelium height and frequencies of the seminiferous epithelial cycle stages and spermatogenesis yield were evaluated. Data were subjected to analysis of variance for a completely randomized design. Means were compared using the Student-Newman-Keuls test at 5% significance. The values for tubular diameter were 173.12 ± 29.09 and 185.71 ± 29.7 µm, and the seminiferous epithelium height was 52.29 ± 9.98 and 56.68 ± 11.25 µm for crossbred animals and Santa Inês, respectively (P <0.05). There was no difference between testicular compartments. It was concluded that there was little difference in the testicular morphometry of the studied animals and it was verified, through the analyzes, that the racial crossing does not induce expressive alterations of the parameters between the studied groups
