MONITORIA APLICADA À DISCIPLINA DE ANATOMIA VETERINÁRIA II: RESULTADOS EM 2017.2
A disciplina de Anatomia Veterinária II expande os conhecimentos iniciados na disciplina de Anatomia Veterinária I, abrangendo conteúdo teórico e prático sobre a anatomia dos sistemas cardiovascular, digestivo, geniturinário, respiratório e tegumentar de cães, gatos, cavalos, gado, cabras e ovelhas. Os alunos são avaliados através de provas práticas e teóricas, seminários e participação nas aulas. O objetivo das atividades de monitoria em Anatomia Veterinária II foi auxiliar o aprendizado dos alunos, esclarecer suas dúvidas e melhorar a fixação do conteúdo, além de auxiliar na melhoria do conhecimento do monitor sobre o conteúdo e iniciá-lo nas atividades de ensino. As atividades realizadas foram: auxiliar os professores nas aulas, na aplicação de testes práticos, organização e limpeza do laboratório e na preparação de peças anatômicas; auxiliar os alunos no estudo do conteúdo; e participação da Scientex. A atividade mais frequente foi auxiliar os professores nas aulas; a demanda por atividades de monitoria foi maior nos meses de janeiro e fevereiro de 2018 e menor em novembro e dezembro de 2017; houve maior frequência dos discentes no estudo do sistema circulatório, seguido pelo respiratório e urogenital, que mostraram relação entre a frequência e a nota obtida na avaliação. O desempenho dos alunos após o início da monitoria foi excelente para 81% dos alunos e 86% afirmaram que, sem o monitoramento, o desempenho teria sido menor. A monitoria teve um impacto significativo no desempenho dos alunos, cuja taxa de aprovação, sem exame final, foi de 93%. Conclui-se que as atividades de monitoria são um recurso importante para auxiliar o professor nas atividades laboratoriais; na aquisição de conhecimentos pelos discentes e no aprofundamento do conteúdo e início à docência pelo monitor.

Abstract:
The discipline of Veterinary Anatomy II expands the knowledge initiated in the discipline of Veterinary Anatomy I, covering theoretical and practical content on the anatomy of the cardiovascular, digestive, genitourinary, respiratory and integumentary systems of dogs, cats, horses, cattle, goats and sheep. Students are evaluated through practical and theoretical tests, seminars and participation in classes. The objective of the monitoring activities in Veterinary Anatomy II was to assist the students' learning, clarifying their doubts and improving the fixation of the content, in addition to assisting in improving the monitor's knowledge of the content and starting it in teaching activities. The activities carried out were: to assist teachers in classes, in the application of practical tests, organization and cleaning of the laboratory, in the preparation of anatomical pieces; to assist students in studying of the contents; and Scientex participation. The most frequent activity was to assist teachers in classes; the demand for monitoring activities was higher in the months of January and February 2018 and lower in November and December 2017; there was a higher frequency of students in the study of the circulatory system, followed by the respiratory and urogenital, which showed a relationship between the frequency and the score obtained in the evaluation. The performance of the students after the start of the monitoring was excellent for 81% of the students and 86% stated that, without the monitoring, the performance would have been lower. The monitoring had a significant impact on the students' performance, whose approval rate, without a final exam, was 93%.It is concluded that the monitoring activities are an important resource to assist the teacher in laboratory activities; in the acquisition of knowledge by the students and in the deepening of the content and beginning teaching by the monitor.
