Abstract: The assessment of learning is fundamental in the agenda of educational evaluation bodies to accredit the quality of students' professional skills. It is highlighted by the fact that in many universities there is the option of accrediting certain subjects only by taking an exam. This contrasts with virtual environments, since learning assessment is rarely explored in depth because it is a complex process that demands analysis and reflection on the measurement of learning for its improvement and is not only the implementation of instruments and the creation of metrics. The technical component of virtual assessment requires a systematic process with a strict design that integrates all the means to collect useful, valid information that responds to the needs for which it was designed, in order to comply with statistical reliability. The techniques used for learning assessment will depend on the student's competence and level of development and must be characterized by the connection with real-world scenarios and have pedagogical foundations. This evaluation involves the observation, monitoring and measurement of the behavior or knowledge of students at the moment in which they are carrying out some action related to the learning process and can be individual or collective.
