Abstract: Teaching science has been changing over time, which leads to some breaches arising due to the absence of tools to assist the teacher in this arduous, but pleasurable task. Observing the importance of morphological studies and their shortcomings in science teaching, the present work had as objective the preparation of three - dimensional models in biscuit of roots, aiming to assist in the teaching of botany. In this way, it was possible to rethink the way in which science classes are taught, such as observing that play activities may be important in the teaching-learning process.
