Abstract: Religiosity is a phenomenon present in the lives of Brazilians. Among the various branches that make up the Brazilian religious landscape, ayahuasca religions, such as Santo Daime, Barquinha, and União do Vegetal, have been gaining followers. Research shows that about 567,000 Brazilians have already consumed ayahuasca, which increases the likelihood of someone sharing an experience from these religions in a clinical context, requiring psychotherapists to be prepared. A common element among those who use the tea is the occurrence of "mirações," which, in this context, are understood as mental images that occur while ayahuasca is affecting the body, constituting the religious experience. Therefore, this study aims to discuss how Jungian therapists can approach reports of "mirações" in clinical settings. This is a documentary and theoretical research based on the works of Marcelo Mercante and Alex Polari, who present ethnographic accounts of "mirações" from people who use ayahuasca. The "mirações" described by the authors were analyzed using Carl Jung's work and the amplification method he proposed for analyzing dreams. The results show that "mirações" resemble dream material, containing rich images and symbols capable of redirecting people's lives. Thus, Jung's theoretical work can contribute to the understanding of ayahuasca experiences, and his method is a useful tool for Jungian therapists. It is suggested that Jungian analysts produce more amplifications of "mirações" to further clarify their relationship with dreams and enhance the understanding of this type of experience. Lastly, it is noted that ayahuasca experiences promote a greater connection with the environment, which deserves attention in the current context of environmental destruction.
