“MINHA ILHA SELVAGEM”: PRODUÇÃO E UTILIZAÇÃO DE VÍDEOS COMO FERRAMENTA DIDÁTICA PARA O ENSINO DE CIÊNCIAS EM ILHA SOLTEIRA/SP
A Educação Ambiental é um meio que possibilita a formação de cidadãos críticos e atuantes na sociedade, exercendo um papel importante na vida estudantil. O município de Ilha Solteira está localizado em uma região de alta biodiversidade e que sofre grande pressão antrópica. No presente trabalho, aulas sobre a fauna do município de Ilha Solteira proporcionaram aos alunos do sétimo ano de instituição pública de ensino a oportunidade de adquirir conhecimentos novos e adicionais sobre a biodiversidade local. Como ferramentas, foram utilizados vídeos produzidos no âmbito deste trabalho, recursos multimídia nas aulas teóricas e visitas ao Centro de Conservação da Fauna Silvestre de Ilha Solteira, onde os alunos foram apresentados aos animais locais sua, importância e as principais ameaças a estes animais. Foram realizados dois questionários com perguntas abertas e fechadas em cada uma das dez turmas trabalhadas, um inicial e outro final. Notou-se um aumento considerável da percepção dos alunos sobre a fauna de Ilha Solteira e de assuntos ligados à relação dos animais com seu meio quando comparado à situação inicial.

Abstract:
Environmental Education allows the formation of citizens that are critical and pro-active in the society, therefore exerting an important function in the life of the student. The municipality of Ilha Solteira is located in an area of high biodiversity but under strong environmental pressures, mainly related to the expansion of agriculture. In this work, lectures about local fauna allowed students from the seventh year of a public school to get and improve knowledge about the local biodiversity. As tools, videos and other multimedia resources were used, additionally to a visit to the local zoo, where students could learn about the main local animals, sampling techniques and the main threats to the fauna. Two questionnaires were applied to the students, both with open and closed questions, one at the beginning and another at the final of the process. Students considerably increased their perception towards the fauna of Ilha Solteira and to subjects connected to the relationship between the fauna and their habitats.
