MIDIATIZAÇÃO E CAÇA ÀS BRUXAS: UM ESTUDO SOBRE AS CONTEMPORÂNEAS FOGUEIRAS DO ECOSSISTEMA DIGITAL E A (DES)IGUALDADE DE GÊNERO NO DISCURSO MIDIÁTICO
As emergentes redes sociais digitais têm transformado a disseminação de informações, potencializando o empoderamento dos sujeitos por meio das possibilidades de expressão e vindicação, mas, ao mesmo tempo, aumenta a conflitualidade e a circulação de discursos de raiva e indiferença. Analisamos, por meio de estudo de caso, o fenômeno da caça às bruxas, com foco para o caso Fabiane, “A bruxa do Guarujá”. Inferimos que este tipo de acontecimento colabora com a constituição de uma rede de violência que ganha replicabilidade nas redes sociais digitais

Abstract:
The emerging digital social networks has transformed the dissemination of information, enhancing the empowerment of subjects through the possibilities of expression and vindication, but, at the same time, it increases conflict and the circulation of discourses of anger and indifference. We analyzed, through a case study, the phenomenon of the witch hunt, with a focus on the Fabiane case, “The Witch of Guarujá”. We infer that this type of event collaborates with the constitution of a network of violence that gains replicability in digital social networks.
