MENSURAÇÃO DA DOR ONCOLÓGICA EM IDOSOS PELA ENFERMAGEM
RESUMO: A dor oncológica tem o potencial de modificar a qualidade de vida dos pacientes, uma vez que pode afetar o ser humano por completo. Desse modo, para que os pacientes possam viver melhor, é preciso que a equipe de enfermagem conheça profundamente as tecnologias utilizadas para a avaliação e mensuração da dor, uma vez que isso proporcionará intervenções mais eficazes no tratamento. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever as Escalas de dor utilizadas na prática clínica de Enfermagem no manejo da Dor Oncológica em Idosos. Trata-se de uma revisão integrativa da literatura, onde o levantamento da questão foi obtido por meio da estratégia PICO e a pesquisa inicial foi feita pelo Portal de Periódicos da Capes/MEC. Algumas escalas que foram descritas e são utilizadas na prática foram: Escala visual analógica (EVA) e Escala visual numérica (EVN), o Questionário de McGill, a Escala faciais de dor (EFD), a Escala Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia (PAINAD), as escalas de barreiras da dor, as Escalas de sintomas de câncer, a Multidimensional QOL ScaleYCancer, a Escala Pain Intensity Number Scale (PINS) e a Escala Symptom Distress Scale (SDS). Cada uma delas possui a sua particularidade, portanto é responsabilidade do enfermeiro saber manusear bem para obter uma correta mensuração da intensidade da dor oncológica.

Abstract:
ABSTRACT: Cancer pain has the potential to change patients' quality of life, as it can affect the human being completely. Thus, for clients to live better, the nursing team must have a deep knowledge of the technologies used for pain assessment and measurement, as this will provide more effective interventions in the treatment. The objective of this study was to describe the Pain Scale used in clinical nursing practice in the management of Oncological Pain in the Elderly. This is an integrative literature review, where the survey of the question was obtained through the PICO strategy and the initial research was carried out through the Portal of Periodicals of Capes/MEC. Some scales that have been described and are used in practice were: Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and Visual Numerical Scale (VNS), the McGill Questionnaire, the Pain Facies Scale (EFD), the Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia Scale (PAINAD), the pain barriers scales, the cancer symptom scales, the Multidimensional QOL ScaleYCancer, the Pain Intensity Number Scale (PINS) and the Symptom Distress Scale (SDS). Each of them has its particularity, so it is the nurse's responsibility to know how to handle it well to obtain a correct measurement of the intensity of cancer pain.
